Who We Are 

Lauren De Valencia y Sanchez became the Managing Principal of Stefan/George Associates in 2021, after working for the firm’s founding partners for over a decade. During her time with the firm, Lauren has represented clients both through advocacy in the California State Legislature and at various state agencies. She has negotiated many successful outcomes on legislative and regulatory issues dealing with important land use decisions and approvals, Prop 65 labeling requirements and two highly successful product stewardship programs in California. Lauren also acted as the Director of Administration for the American Planning Association, California Chapter, assisting the Board of Directors for a number of years. 

 

Prior to joining the firm, Lauren worked as an Account Executive at Porter Novelli, a global public relations leader. During her time with the firm, she worked with a variety of businesses and non-profits. 

 

Lauren graduated California State University, Sacramento with a degree in sociology and lives in Sacramento with her husband Greco and daughter Simone.
